This video reviews things we have talked about with rhythm all first quarter and how to read quarter notes and eighth notes. It also reviews the start of note reading we did at the beginning of the second quarter.

The video concludes with how to put these skills together into reading music and playing Three Blind Mice on the Recorder. It shows how to read the song while you hear it and then, it is performed so you can see the fingers and hear it.

Today in class we started our recorder playing. We learned that our left hand goes on the instrument first and our right had goes at the bottom of the instrument. If you would like to review how to hold your hands and play our first notes, check out the video below to show you how!
