WVIZ Podcasting Workshops
I work wtih WVIZ Ideastream to create and offer professional development for teachers in the State of Ohio on a wide range of subject matter.
I am currently offering a number of workshops and coursework dealing with digital photography, video production for the web and Ipods and Ipod Touch.
The Podcast Academy Blog can be found at www.markquinn.net/blog5. This supports the podcasting workshops as an avenue for discussion on the subject as participants take various workshops.
I am currently in development of a series of workshops centered around what I call the “21st Century Tool Kit”.
Technology Professional Development has centered around teaching the individual pieces of technology and how to operate them. I believe that PD needs to evolve into a pedagogical discussion on how to use the various tools in a coordinated way to improve the educational process. We must move past the point of excitement for technology’s sake and begin to think of technology as a tool and use it appropriately to support the standards being focused upon in the lesson.
