<p>Musicians use idioms often along with methapors and similies to make their point in short statements or to assist with matching words to rhythms.  It can also help with rhymes to make phrases work.</p>

<p>The truth is that musicians use <a href="http://www.fayettevilleintermediate.org/docs/figurative_language_legal_size.pdf">figurative language </a>all the time to help make their point in lyrics of their songs.  I bet you know much more about figurative language than you think you do.  As you reach the end of the lesson, you are going to show it by writing your own song and then produce it!</p>
